
DOMINIKA TARINOVÁ
Dominika is a documentary filmmaker who explores protagonists in existential situations, capturing their stories with empathy and simplicity, avoiding unnecessary drama even in tough situations. Through her films, she seeks to encourage viewers to believe in the possibility of meaningful change.
In recent years, she has primarily been filming in Ukraine, but she also focuses on human rights, migration, and audiovisual anthropology. She is highly skilled in cinematography and editing.
After earning a law degree in Vienna and she courrenlty graduates in film directing at Academy of performing Arts in Bratislava. In addition to her independent film work, she freelances as an audiovisual consultant and creator for various international organizations and NGOs such as IOM, EURACTIVE, European Migration Network.
MAGDA KOPIEC
Originally from Poland, Magda has moved to the UK in 2007. She had since lived in Ireland, Germany, France and Spain. At university, she studied languages and cultural studies, specialising in migrant literature and the theory of documentary film.
Magda studied filmmaking via workshops and intensive courses in Bayreuth, Barcelona and Dublin. She has gained experience as DoP, producer and director while working at film festivals and collaborating with other filmmakers on their projects. Her interest lies primarily in the observational, documentary form, but is open to and fascinated by all the genres that filmmaking offers.
